Unless you live in Seattle... http://www.king5.com/story/news/loc...le-day-replaces-columbus-in-seattle/16828877/
Talk shit about Chris down an Arthur Ave and you will get your head cracked open. Italians are serious about that shit. I just appreciate the day off.
Fuck that guy Not because I care what he did or didn't do But because that's what kids use to call me in elementary school. Until I started fucking fools up
At least you have a legitimate reason to hate, unlike the whiney, snivelling PC cunts in the Seattle area.
I'm all for everyone getting there fair share, but seriously this is fucked up. This country go's deeper into the shitter every day. Were people killed in claiming of this land, sure. Think it's never happened anywhere else in the world, at any other time in history... Oh, and how is a city council able to over rule a federal holiday?
God, I'm tired of the perpetually offended and those who cater to them. Fuck them. And fuck Columbus, the pilgrims and Squanto too. You can't open your front door without giving rise to a tidal wave of righteous indignation.
Yep. Christopher Columbus was a real champ. Read this: http://theoatmeal.com/comics/columbus_day then tell me if he still deserves his holiday?
oh they are just getting warmed up. get this: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/10/06/opinion/pedophilia-a-disorder-not-a-crime.html?_r=1 next: normalization of the behavior. Jesus.
This theory has been around for years and is related to the same research that claims you are born with your sexual preferences. That research says that pedophiles are born that way. Whatever your sexual desires, you are hard-wired from birth that way.
Christopher Columbus was awful (but this other guy was not) pretty good read and it's the oatmeal...awesome site in general. http://theoatmeal.com/comics/columbus_day
How is this even legal? The Seattle city council doesn't have the authority to override any law passed by US Congress, even something as minor as a law authorizing an officially recognized holiday.
It's a federal holiday which implicates federal government employees, banks, and bond markets (that trade government debt). But that's about it. States don't follow suit nor do businesses by and large. Here's my reference: Working on Columbus Day? It depends on where you live
