Wasn't there a couple years the gsxr1k's had some crank issues? Just curious as I'm shopping around for another bike

2009 was the year that saw some premature failures.

I have a 2014 with 4 or 5 race weekends on it. My son raced it two weekends, it was ADR built.

Still have the street stuff if you prefer that. It has gas fork cartridges, shock, rearsets, really cool adjustable front brake lever to correct fade so the stock brakes work great through the entire race, EMpro, quickshift, good amount of time on the dyno for throttle mapping, etc.

Nice bodywork and paint. Could also provide with superbike motor, JB Power wheels, and custom Yosh enlarged tank.

Yup it was 2009, I think they said they fixed or somewhat addressed the issue on the 2012 motors?

07-08 was the previous gen and a different motor....did not have the same problem.
