A few buddies and I are planning a small southern euro tour in a couple years. Strictly in the pre planning phase right now. We have family housing available in the south of Italy, and are planning to fly into Naples (I think), spend a few days there, and then rent bikes and hit the rest of italy, Switzerland, Germany, and the east end of France, in a loop. I know absolutely nothing about this, I've never even been to Europe before. We're not really interested in the guided tour/edelweiss thing, not really our style. Beyond that, I'm looking for any advice at all. Basically a list of definite dos/donts. Like I said, this is a couple years away, but I'm the planning type and what better resource than the beeb.
