After much deliberation I'm going to pass on any of these and spend the money to get my 96 YZ250 running again. Probably have plenty left over to get the RZ350 running again too. My son was the voice of reason. He said dad, quit buying more bikes and fix what you've already got
You could use some 250x parts to make it more trail friendly... specifically the trans and 18" rear. Those Fast flexx handle bars will quell vibrations
Good ideas. I'm going to give the bike to the shop that does all my work and tell them to make it like new.
I can do most but the cylinder has to be sent off to Millennium etc. I'm at the point in life I'd rather pay somebody to do it.
After a pretty embarrassing day out on a YZ250FX a few months ago, I took off work yesterday and rented a KTM 250 SX-F and headed to the local vet track. Pretty damn fun. I was, of course, slow but got around the track okay for so little dirt experience. Local guys helped me out a bit with body position and I was able to get the rear spinning around in some of the corners. Jumping the table tops was fun, but I definitely preferred that cornering feeling. Hitting some of the rough sections of the track made me feel like Tomac going through whoops lol. I'm not sure if a dirty bike is in my future or not, but it was a fun time out.
Rented a cabin up at Hatfield McCoy for a few days first weekend in December… Ready to beat the shit out of myself…
Im at Highland Park (KTM World) escaping FL for a few days. Weather is awesome but all of the federal OHVs are closed. Id be curious how the weather is up there in Dec. Im hoping to get a spot in the 200 mile NJ Hammer Run DS for Nov 2 & 3.
Well, where ya staying? Are you going with others that have been previously and know their way around?

Nice! I wasn't really trying to weasel my way in, but offer suggestions on what we typically ride when we go. It sounds like you guys have it covered and are probably way faster than I am anyway. Thanks for the offer though. Have fun and be safe!
What's the latest and greatest when it comes to MX safety gear? I know the Tech Air MX product hasn't been released just yet. I've always heard Mobius knee braces are solid and I see they offer wrist baces too. The Fly Formula helmet with it's ability to call emergency services and an ICE contact is pretty cool, too.
