State employee pensions will be bankrupting CA soon, too.

 

This action isn't surprising. The people however, have been asking for it for a long time by their continuing to elect the most outstanding idiots to run the city for a long long time. It is the city in US that has the highest percentage of poverty of all over 250,000 population and has been under the control of only Democratic mayors since 1961.

Where has all that "for the poor people" been?

 

A joke that I saw this morning.

Even Obama is smart enough to not throw anymore money at Detroit.

The auto bailouts were ridiculous enough.

Though they are planning to build a 3 mile streetcar in Detroit with Federal money for $10 Million Plus per mile.

Detroit has been mostly a warzone for my entire life, with the exception of a couple mile area downtown.

I'm pleasantly surprised when something good does happen as opposed to disappointed at the norm.

As a Michigan taxpayer I am really tired of paying high taxes and high property taxes, only for the state to squander the money trying to prop up Detroit.

 

There are other places to live. You'd probably feel right at home in Cali.

 

Detroit was a shithole before the bank debacle. Doze it. Maybe there is some oil under it.

 

Obama isn't up for re-coronation.
He can and will bail out Detroit.

 

It would be interesting to hear more about your experiences in Detroit. Other than vacant homes/buildings, I know little about the place. (We just have stop signs here.)

I went through there 3 years ago.It was more of a war zone than I could have ever imagined.Kept trying to lock,and relock already locked doors.
My Dad told me I was almost born there when he worked for GM.

This is 100% entirely the citizens of Detroit's fault. Keep picking crooks to lead your city, your eventually going to get robed. Rock the vote 2016 "Think your vote does not mean anything? Just look at Detroit!"
