Death of Dale Earnhardt

My sperm donor was an unknown, unnamed Fort Polk draftee, but my Uncle, who was the closest thing to a father figure I knew. As I approach the age day of his death, and I'm already past the day he found out he had multiple myeloma, which is a 100% death sentence... it def hits home.

 

How long did you wait, knowing you were going to post in a 23yo thread?

What I gather from his podcast he does some Late Model stuff and an Xfinity race or two a year.

He said something to the effect that he wants to race long enough for his kids to remember seeing him do it. I don't know how old his kids presently are.

 

The competition in Nascar is pretty nuts when you think about it.

His kids are young. Like 5 and 3 or something like that.
He picks 1 Xfinity race a year to do, and then some random races in the late model series that he partially owns with Harvick and Jeff Burton, the CARS Tour.

 

We lost the OP of this thread a couple years later at Road Atlanta...

 

Dale Sr's 12 year old grandson Wyatt Miller got a 2nd place his first weekend in a Pro Spec Short Course Off-Road truck recently.

 

The other life I identify with (flying) has a lot of death too.
