    Sweatypants I am so smart! S-M-R-T... I mean S-M-A-R-T!

i mean... given that we had a 1300mi. ride, i was glad to make it back with no real hiccups at all. $5000 so far of things i didn't really WANT to have to fix. i.e. things i don't plan on keeping once i tear this thing down to the shell and rebuild it completely including motor swap, but need to to be able to use it in the meantime... that's life i guess. Tires were 12 years old, brakes were trashed, immobilizer went bad, horn was bad, 2 gauges needed rehab, 2 shocks, 2-3 plastic interior pieces, emblems. Still need to do plugs/wires that are a bit pricey, and then still there's some oil leaks that I don't REALLY care about cause i'm not doing a $10k engine out re-seal for a motor i don't want, but hopefully they don't catch the rear bumper on fire. Outside of that though, typical shit for a 28 year old car. 3-4 bushings that are shot that i'm not replacing cause heim joint arms eventually replacing everything. brittle connectors on wiring that just makes me wince when i touched a few things. Interior is super clean though, body is super clean. that's all I really needed or wanted. drive it 1-2 times a month for the next 2 years then all will be fixed.

got a rebuilt 964 5-speed with a Quaife diff already waiting to go. should be cool, eventually.

We've got some neighbors from hell, I call them crackheads all the time, it's truly stuck in the neighborhood and they are affectionately known as "the crackheads". I think I've posted about them before on here, 12 people living in this house, backs up to the side of our house. I could write 5 paragraphs about these inbred fuckers. Every single one has a rap sheet a mile long, even the grandad that bought the house, he's the only one that works. These assholes deal drugs, do drugs, steal stuff left and right and resell it on FB marketplace. About a month ago they drug in some old Goldwing. I had a buddy message them to ask if it had a title. Crackhead responded: "Its on the way". Yeah, sure it is. A few hours later he took the ad down. Couple weeks later the same ol' blue Goldwing reappeared for sale on FB marketplace, he evidently fixed the idling problem so it was listed for 2 grand more this time. I had another buddy message him and ask for the VIN. He responded, "Why you need the Vin?" Buddy said to make sure it wasn't stolen or had been in any wrecks. Crackhead told him, well, I'm not giving you the VIN. Few hours later, took the ad down again. No clue where they get all this stuff but they are constantly dragging in ATV's, bicycles, cheap motorcycles, beater cars etc. The cops could absolutely care less around here, we've told them a few times and absolutely zero response. Anyways......wish I had screen shot the Goldwing ad, the way they type and spell is hysterical. I'm no literary genius but these guys have the grammar of a pre-schooler. You'd have to see it to believe it.

Funny this came up today!! I messaged a guy about a vfr 750 that had been converted to f3 wheels, and a few other things done.I know the bikes well.I messaged about title and miles status, and he got all pissy, even though I told him I would buy it Wed.when I got off work,if it was all there.
He told me I was wasting his time and got all shitty about it.
I then replied that he could eat the fucking thing for all I cared I had plenty of bikes, and asked a few relative questions.
He then told me 10 other people had pissed him off,and never showed up,and that there was no need for me to act like that!:crackup:
I was just looking for a cheap commuter, so looks like I will be buying the one owner 85' Honda nighthawk 700 ! Wed. :)
    and i did finally sell the bicycle,and a 6x12 trailer this week.Damn Miracles!!

While that "bike" is beyond frightening, I am more intrigued as to why the trash can behind it has "speed holes" drilled in it. I assume its so your blood soaked clothing can dry more quickly.

That's how I feel about highway 65 through Louisville, I've driven through there 1000 times over 40 years and it has always been under construction. I recently moved away, so it's probably finished now!

Ahem....We don't do major highways....We do Infrastructure, commercial site work, foundations, flood walls, storm, neighborhood rehab (new curbs, inlets, walks), asphalt paving, etc....A lot of work at UC, Wright Pat up in Dayton, we're also the GC at times. There's not much we don't do. We bid about $375 mil in work a year. We get around 25%. If we ever have a breakout year, like 35-40% of bids, we're fukked.

I'm on a $16 mil library in northern 'burbs of Cincy now.

Former AMA team owner/racer Justin Neyra has the asphalt parking lot scope.

No workers standing around on my crew. NON-UNION FTMFW!

That concrete pole foundation above has a story....Electricians set it in the wrong place. Next day, I dug it out, drilled 4 holes in it, stuck 7/8" nail stakes in the holes, hoisted it up and out then i had to dig to get it centered in the corner of my curb. Always fixin' other peoples shit.
