J-schools focus on hair and makeup or effective use of whitespace. To be fair, they expect people to graduate high school with a, well, high school education.
I saw a For Sale post for a 50cc scooter with headline MOPE HEAD and I'm still laughing a week later.
What is wrong with me? I saw that and thought, that's kinda badass. Minus the exhaust, if that were tuned right, it would be lots of fun to drive around with that blower sticking out of the hood. Reminds me of my youth in the 80's when I always wanted a roots blower car. I've owned 3 supercharged cars and a few turbo's too, but have never owned one where the blower sticks out like a drag car. Claims it is not a project, yet states, engine and blower do not have 1 mile on them. Yea right, it is not a project.
I had the exact same reaction. A '70 Chevelle, 6-71, manual trans, suspension set up to 'handle' (whatever that means for a 50yo body-on-frame car) has long been on my list of things-I-vaguely-want-but-will-never-actually-get.
Chevelle first or 2nd gen. Camaro 67-69 are my fav, but could have a split bumper too. Chevy II I almost bought a 1964 6 cylinder with 3 on the tree, when I was in high school. I had grand ideas to put in a V8.. yada yada yada. Dad told me if I used that $800 Chevy II money to buy a motorcycle instead, and go drag racing with him, he would let me drive the old 73 Ford LTD. I just had to pay for fuel and split my sister’s insurance because she bought her own car. So, I found a 74 Kawasaki 900 Z1 with a windjammer fairing, and 49k miles, that became my dragbike. Nova 68-73 like them all. Injection is nice, but I’d rather be blown.
This was in my feed the other day. Strangely, it was a low miles car with no mods other than the exhaust.
Having driven something with a high rise and dual carbs sticking out of the hood you'll find out 2 things. 1. They are hard to see around sometimes. 2. They aren't great when it's raining. Other than that they are good fun.
When I was a kid going to the drag strip all the time, I remember a few 63-67 drag cars. Back then, I’m not sure if I even knew, a split window was worth a lot more money than the others? The part he is butchering would be an easy replacement, the hood. Plus Richard is smart enough to remove the original engine if he did do it. I used to think I would own a 63-67 Vette someday, but after riding an old 900 z1 again, I remember how shitty the old stuff really was.
You had a prom date? Lucky bastard, I had to take my cousin and he wouldn't put out on the first date.
