    That's ironic considering one of the articles I'd read said one of the side-effects of the vaccine made people feel like they were having a massive hangover. So much so that they were worried people wouldn't be coming back to take the subsequent dose when the vaccine was being deployed for real.


    You know the media is going to be running block and cover and squash alot of these negative stories as this injectable crud keeps trying to get deployed.

    WTF? They don't sign up for what? Taking care of people who have an illness that they could also get and could make them sick? Do you actually read what you type out? Everyone other than maybe specific surgeons does sign up to take care of infected people. Good lord.

    Yes the requirements are a strain, can't blame the virus for a political decision.

    Before all of this happened Evelyne went into the ER and was in a hallway all day then luckily got into a room before surgery that night and released the next day. They flat out told us we got lucky as the initial plan was surgery/recovery/release all that same night. Not a single covid patient to be found, just SOP at a brand new hospital in Vegas that was already expanding by 25%.

    Yes, this bug spreads just like every virus ever. Kind of a duh.

    It causes different symptoms in different people. Like every virus ever.

    People are not getting sick for weeks on end unlike the flu - some are getting sick for weeks just like the flu.

    There are absolutely enough beds and resources aren't tapped out. They did that lie in March or whenever, trying it again isn't working.

    You getting it doesn't make it any different. You've gotten the flu and colds before haven't you?

    You are absolutely correct on one thing - this is not about the virus. If it were none of this silly shit would have happened.

    Yeah it's telling you the panic has people making vents. Has nothing to do with the virus. Has everything to do with the panic. As for your docs and nurses, there are plenty of them falling for the bullshit data. Our doc and his CDC employed wife say the exact opposite and still wish the management and politicians would listen to the science.

    Agreed - so why are you supporting the panic that is causing so many to suffere?

    Posting bad information to support the panic is indeed dictating how others should act and feel.

    There is another hospital about 15 minutes farther away. That one has been bouncing between 90-100% full ICU for the same time period. I am sorry Evelyne got stuck in the ER all day, but that isn't the same as a 75 year old man who is in generally poor health stuck there for over 48 hours.

    They didn't sign up for 12 to 16 hour shifts wearing way more PPE than they have excepted to wear doing work they didn't expect to be doing. Short term, yeah they can suck it up. Weeks on end is not so good as morale and quality of care will suffer.

    I know your livelihood is at stake, so I understand your point of view, but this really is more than "just the flu" and not just because of the "panic".

    No, it's a 68 year old woman stuck for just under 24 in pain in a fucking hallway not in a room in the ER. Try again.

    No one is forcing them to stay employed. They can quit and move to another job. Oh wait - there aren't many due to the same panic that is causing their PPE dress.

    This has not a damn thing to do with my livelihood. This has to do with the utter bullshit being spread as fact. A real fact is hospitals tend to run full, that is how they make money. No, ICU's aren't always at 100% but they hit it regularly. This shit is not causing any more of an impact than any other Nov/Dec sees at this point - why keep saying it is? This is not remotely worse than a bad flu season and yes the biggest issues right now are all due to the panic.
