Yep. It’s one of those situations where I actually believe that was the reason for the divorce. Maybe he wanted one ? Who knows but damn if not and to be that selfish.
I can't blame him for taking the money but he would've been a fucking legend if he had retired no later than a year after the second Super Bowl.
He will make more in his 1st year with Fox than he does playing. LOL Not a tough decision. If he had a good front office, coach and players around him...he would be back...but he is far to competitive to repeat this year and all its downfalls...he deserves much better. Hell, he is STILL a far better QB than most in the league at this point. LOL But it's time for him to go do other things. Hellava run!!! Really enjoyed watching his career and listening to all the haters. lol
I doubt money is what drives his actions, he's not flashy. My best guess is that the wife gave him an ultimatum and it didn't sit well. He may have been willing to retire but he wasn't going to be ordered to retire. One more season was a deal breaker for her. I blame her more than him. She had a nice career when she was young; now she has kids to raise and that's her career until they're grown. Kids aren't houseplants, they still need care even after the novelty wears off and you're sick of them. And she isn't exactly sitting at home, she is always busy.
I think he just didn't want to go home and listen to her yack it up. I remember 100yrs ago dating a gorgeous lady,but she was dead behind the eyes. I couldn't wait to get away from her.Maybe Jizz L ( spelling?) Was nuts on the ears,and he would make out with his son instead? Sorry had too
