Her facts agree, her made up shit does not. Getting property seized for non payment of bills is a normal thing.

Hell, I'd love to see a couple hundred year old cow.

So then oil and gas extraction fees should be done away with as well. Timber fees...toss them too.

Fee based grazing allotments have been around for many, many decades. Over grazing can lay waste to land for fifty or more years. We have land on the Arizona strip that was overgrazed which hasn't come back in 75 years. Used to be three foot tall grasslands and now its barren.

These lands belong to all the people of the United States and tens of thousands of people pay the appropriate use fees including thousands of ranchers here in the SW. Why should this narcissistic attention whore be exempt?

I saw him two years ago and I asked him if he had a problem grazing his cattle on land which was stolen by the US from the Moapa Piutes? No comment from him.

This guys needs a beat down and his cattle should be sold straight to slaughter and the funds applied to his past-due balance.

Its right where the three states come together (AZ, NV and UT)

The amount of land back in the day was 600,000 acres, its substantially less now. That's part of the dispute, where he can let his cattle range.

This guys a douche, where are those Albuquerque cops when they're really needed?

No, the tortoise is THE point. The BLM changes the rules in '93 to "save" the tortoise. They changed the rules in the middle of the game, hell they didn't even exist when his family started grazing the land. The BLM is just like the EPA, another useless Govt agency with way too much power and no accountability.

Bundy owes a million dollars in back grazing allotment fees. Why should he be exempt when everyone else pays? Its way effen cheaper to oay a grazing fee than buy feed.

I deal with our SW Utah BLM office on a regular (like weekly) basis and they are quite easy to work with and have done a good job of managing resources, recreation, antiquities and endangered/threatened species.

Doesn't have to be his for him to own water rights.

Kind of amazing they pulled back after Harry Reid / Chinese story came out. Infowars is not a good source as they are bit batty but the timing is amazing.

It's an election year and DHS hasn't taken delivery of all those hollow points they've ordered just yet...

Roaches run when you turn on the lights .

If you're doing things above board and according to law, you don't have to stop when people see you doing it.

Admittedly there is also a chance they saw Waco2 coming and decided to pull back and diffuse things. IMO they did not learn but it is another possibility.

It ain't over...they will just regroup and come at a different angle, when the media and others are not there.

Exactly, and that's why they're leaving.
If they thought their case was legitimate, they would just call a halt and bring in negotiators or mediators or hold hearings, or do something that the public can witness and judge.

Nope. Tortoise is smoke and mirrors.

Doesn't matter if the rules changed - the rules changed drastically over the hundred plus years they family had the lease - it happens. Hell, the daughter talked about roads, they didn't have roads when gramps signed the original lease.

BLM being useless doesn't matter. What's funny is I agree it's a bloated and ridiculous agency that could be run a lot better. Doesn't change that the man is using someone elses land and not paying, his property is being seized for non payment.
