Ouch.. I really like that Richard spoke his mind openly, but damn.. Blake sounds like a handful. Pretty apparent that Richard is dead on the money when on a WSBK spec bike, Blake floundered at Laguna Seca, when RLH on an AMA spec bike did really well.
Blaming Blake for the lack of results assumes that the bike was capable of better results. We don't know that to be true. It goes without saying, but building a competitive GP bike is difficult.
Considering Leon Camier put that bike on the podium this year at Silverstone, I'd say yes, it's capable of better results.
Although..............I would love to see what a Marquez or Lorenzo could do with that Stromboli-built APR CRT bike just for shits and gigs
I think it'd be awesome to see what those guys could do on any of the CRT bikes at the end of the year. Put Marquez on Espargaro or CE2's bike and let's see the numbers!
In all fairness to Blake he did have a somewhat respectable finish in race 2 (12, 2 ahead of Eslick). Did Danny have issues in race 2 at Laguna, I didn't notice?
Danny said he lost the rear and ran off the track. http://www.roadracingworld.com/news...eekends-various-motorcycle-road-races9292013/
I'm convinced Eric Bostrom could have come out of retirement and completed five laps between Laguna Seca and Indy.
You mean retirement from motorcycles with internal combustion engines. He won a plug-in bike race at Laguna Seca earlier this year.
I'll admit being biased but here's my view on things. New bike. New team. Hasn't raced in a month. Has very little track time this season. (Granted..he could have not wadded his bikes up this year) Hasn't been at Laguna in over a year. Starts 17th, finishes 12th and doesn't send any bikes to the scrap heap. Not a bad result if you ask me.
