I always fly the Nicky Flag at the track I have… it’s a big 4 ft by 6 ft… Had Roger stop by a couple years ago at Road Atlanta when camping in T3 and thanked us for having it.. Told him it was the least we could do and we were honored every time it was up..
I saw a guy in a crowd shot from Mid Ohio wearing one, mentioned it to m wife when I saw it. Was a big, fat guy so it was a big shirt.
I've got the 2006 champ edition watch. I wore it for a while but the battery is dead and the band was getting a little worn so i stuck it back in the helmet case and it's been there for a few years. I had a sweet Arai replica for a while but they don't fit me worth a shit so i sold it (before he passed). I wish i would have kept that one.
I miss him representing us on the world stage and I still have a few select things but I am still pissed off about a fuckin bicycle being the thing that ended him.
That was my wife's wedding present to me (green though). I cant bring myself to wear it, if anything happened to it, Id never recover. hah
Same here... I want to wear it every anniversary of his passing but find it hard to do so... Maybe I should change mindset and wear it when he won the MotoGP Championship.
I wore my Nicky watch (got when it was reported on here that they were on sale-ish) to work (and races) frequently, but the battery eventually died and I've been hesitant to get it replaced. Is there a good dependable way to get an "official" change when you don't live near a dealer? Anyhoo... My stairwell at home... I got it when Honda was packing up after bike week that year. The picture doesn't show the huge size (more than 4 feet tall). Cost me an arm and a leg to frame it, but well worth it.
All of my Tissots are currently dead. Shouldn't be a big deal to have anyone replace the battery, they're owned by Swatch after all who own a TON of watch brands.
From the article, "As I held my granddaughter, I realized again that life is a constant balancing act [...] My grandpa?! He KNEW Nicky Hayden! They were friends!"
