TOBC Racing is looking for full-time Engine Builders and Suspension & Chassis Mechanics... our shop is located in Jonesville North Carolina and the position(s) will support three Endurance Teams and several Sprint competitors in the AMA, CCS, and WERA Road Racing Series. The downside of the position involves working with the racers and their nearly constant abuse of motorcycles, the cranky Team Manager, and a potential relocation to Jonesville... the upside is that TOBC provides the best Catering Services in all of Road Racing. Give us a call or send us a message if you have an interest in working with a great group of professionals.
That's great John! If I was single, didn't have two shepherds and trying to chase racing hobbies I'd be all over the position. Good luck with finding the right candidate.
I'm single and willing to relocate. I know almost nothing about building engines, or suspensions, but willing to learn.
I would so love to do this... ...instead I'm stuck managing a couple VMWare farms, a statewide network and more firewalls than I ever want to know about... bah.
I'd be in but that would be more than a three hour commute each way. Sounds like a great opportunity for someone though.
I would absolutely love too and I don't live far away. The bad part is, I don't know anything about building motors or setting up suspension. I wouldn't mind testing them though. ...and you won't find a better person at keeping the bikes and pit area clean and organized.
Funny how things work. You have guys that would jump at the chance to have this job with not much experience. Or no experience at all but willing to learn. There are a bunch of guys on here with more experience than the majority of us will ever dream of obtaining but may not be interested at all. Personally I'd love to apply but Susan and I are pretty well settled, in a nice location just south of downtown Nashville with Barrett and Jackson and I'm holding my own quite well restoring cars for a living. Although, I do have pretty good experience working for small bike shops, large metric dealerships, building pro-streets/choppers/customs, plenty of maintenance on Harley, Big Dog, Iron Horse, Wild West etc, and if need be I know my way around heavy construction equipment Above all else, I could give Broome a run for his OCD money... I just need a little sleep and stop trying to race more than one bike
I am the cranky team manager. Send me your resume. Include your race team experience. [email protected]
