I heard that Brandon Parrish got a 750, and had a pretty good battle with Ryan Gordon in the 750 Superstock NV race at Barber this past weekend.....Anybody see it?
If that was the race that Brandon won, it was pretty good. Ryan got the start, and lead most of the race, Brandon ran him down a few times, and Ryan would respond. Ryan ran wide in T5, and Brandon passed him, next lap big gap. I did not talk to Ryan after that, but I heard something about Ryan having a problem with the setup. Not 100% sure on the whole thing. Brandon was riding well.
I think I saw Ryan run wide outta 15, then ran through the grass to avoid the oil. I think thats when Brandon passed him and opened up a big lead.
They were too far ahead of me to see anything, but Brandon was on a new 04. don't know if it was a 750 though. Brandon and Ryan split the two races, both running 32s. Damn they were fast.
That must have been the white flag lap, I did not see if Ryan got him back after T5, but Brandon had a big gap after that,so that would explain things.
i talked to Brandon, he said they battled back and fourth about 5 times and he passed him in T15 on the 3rd to last lap and then 2nd to last lap passed him in exact same spot but they bumped and gordon ran wide.
Ryan did battle kidney stones this weekend. Exit before Tally, we pulled off and I had to call 911 for an ambulance to come get him. We spent the night in the ER - heart rate to 40 and no oxygen - he was dehydrated and with no potassium.. Heart cramping and stuff but... he did not want to miss the race. He did one practice session on Friday afternoon. We got out of the hospital around 4:00am Friday.... He ran good race for Team Eclipse on Saturday finishing 4th overall and second in class. So I don't think the stones affected him other than he was a bit tired. They did battle back and forth. Brandon had a new 750 at Nelsons...Ryan made a pass in the lap prior to the white flag and was leading into 15 when the bump occurred and caused a slight tank slap which he rode into the grass and back on the the front stretch. Brandon won and Ryan finished second. Ryan made some adjustments for the second race and dropped over 1 second on his time and lead from the start and continued pulling a pretty big gap throughout the race. Winning the novice race and finishing second overall. Thanks to everyone who checked on him during the weekend. It is greatly appreciated. See you at the GNF
Yes, finally I beat Gordon. It wasn't easy at all! We passed back and forth about 5 times, it was so much fun. We ended up coming together in turn 15 at the apex and Ryan ran off. Sorry about that! I'm still learning the new 750. Its hard switching from R6 to 750 back and forth through out the day so hopefully I win that GSXR 600 that trackside is giving away. But i think Ross Ryals has me Anyhow it has been an awesome season and hopefully Ryan and I can get an endurance team together for next year and put up a good fight.
