    Tdub Say what???

The price would probably be a lot cheaper if you actually listed what you have in parts and charge the 100 hours labor...just saying.:Poke: Hell, you are making Sunshine look like a philanthropist...

Pretty complete list of parts listed in the 1st post and at standard shop rate that would put the total close to $40k. Difference is that this is actually a well set up bike :)

I'm lost. You're saying the total would be less if he took the amount I parts ($31k or something) and added 100 hours of labor to it?

    Do the math for me.

The lever was swapped with the bike he raced in the 200. The 200 bike had been down in the chicane on Thursday morning practice, but this one has never been down.

The bike raced in the 200 will not be up for sale until we get the bodywork back from paint and repair.

I thought the implication was that the parts prices were "retail" rather than what he believes the RD crew actually paid to put it together.

Plus the bodywork may be worth $950, but it only COST $950 - $xxx.xx that the stock stuff was sold for. So the $13,000 bike price could be adjusted, or you could drop the aftermarket parts prices by the value of the stick parts they replaced.

    ...it's a nice bike regardless.

We do have MSRP listed on the build parts; however if you were to pay dealer cost for all of the parts, dealer cost for the bike, and sold off every bit of street gear you would have more than $24,900 into duplicating this bike. That's with not charging for labor, shipping, or set-up.

There is a lot less margin in race parts than most people think.

I've been looking at this since you posted it and its a great bike.

One thing that has been bothering me is the front fender. Why is it shorter than normal?

Gorilla Let me push on that bitch

Most bike with quick change front ends do that for clearance

Understood. I was only speculating as to the implications of the prior post. I agree that it would be exceedingly difficult to build that bike for the asking price. You guys always do top-notch builds.

They only raced this bike in the Daytona round, which is the 200 so the bike is setup for quick-change.

This particular bike didn't actually get raced at Daytona (I think we used it for 2 sessions at Barber the weekend before Daytona and one practice session at Daytona.) As stated by someone else the fender was cut in case we needed to use it for the 200. It allows you to go straight in with the wheel. We have a standard fender we can swap it with if desired.
