2003 Yamaha R6 YZF 600cc setup for trackdays. This bike was only ever a racebike. Bought new and raced. I believe it was by Chuck Bannon, then Mitch Waldrep. Carney Racing took it over and we raced it for a few years as an endurance bike. It probably raced about a race per year for a few years. It raced it's final race at Grattan in 2010 and we put it on the podium in a WERA national race. The bike still rips for it's age. Since then, it's done only a few track days and it has sat for the last 2 years. The front suspension has been redone/refreshed a few times, the last being about 2010, which is probably 10 trackdays ago. It's setup for about 175 lbs. The rear has a Penske. The spares are shown in the pictures including a rear wheel (complete with cush drive and rotor) and slick that's worn. The tires on the bike are good for a couple of trackdays yet. Has an Ohlins steering damper. It has a powercommander III USB. Some sprockets and bodywork. rearsets It's fully safety wired and will pass tech at any trackday org The stand does NOT come with it. It was always been maintained well with frequent oil changes. It actually looks better in the pictures than in real life (just being honest). It's been raced. It's been crashed. But it's always run flawless and has never had gremlins. It's always just start and run perfect like a sewing machine. Having said that, I make no guarantees. It's a racebike, well now a trackbike, and it could grenade tomorrow like any bike that's 10+ years old. I'm pretty good about taking ads down. So if you see the ad the bike is for sale. I probably won't answer my phone if you call and probably won't listen to the message. Text at 9894506325 or pm. Price is $2000 for the next couple of weeks and OBO after that. Odometer shows 5,500 miles. I assume it's correct and all are track miles. This is not a street legal bike. It has NO lights/blinkers/mirrors/kickstand etc. Located in Midland, MI
If sale falls through, I know someone who is interested. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
You aren't kidding. If that bike could talk about what it's seen and what's been done on it.... The biography alone is worth what we're asking for it.
You know, I was going to mention this bike's rich history with the Witchkraft team but I didn't want to sully your name by associating you with this filthy track slut.
Full disclaimer: Fork seals were replaced after this incident (I think): http://www.witchkraftracing.com/?p=542 The question still stands - how strong is Aaron Bagwell, given the push he gave Andy getting out of the pits? Also, this page has accumulated 1800 unique page views over time. I still laugh every time I watch it.
Sorry, a sale is pending and I don't see how to put that in the title. I would just remove the ad but I actually still have the bike and don't have cash in hand so I would like to keep this alive until the transaction is made.
Naw. Some snooty dudes from some team that's on the cover of magazines saw it and made us flip them over.
