Is being admired for your beauty materially different than being admired for your intelligence? Both are simply luck of the genetic draw.
@nigel smith Fair point, it's true one is born with looks and a baseline intelligence. Is there is value delta between the discipline/good choices to eat right and take care of your body vs. what it takes to go to Harvard, Airforce, etc? Seems like there is to me, but maybe I'm off.
Even if they go serve. Retention is going to be a difficult sell. They completely fucked up the retirement system. The 20 year pension is gone. Now it’s like a 401k that they have to save themselves. And before anyone says it. Military pay isn’t that bad anymore. Lots of it is in non taxes housing and food allotments.
I recruited for the USAF 96-2000 during the clinton years...it was difficult back then. I retired Jan 2011. Can't even imagine how difficult it is now. I know one thing though...the majority of the ones we DO get, are still decent kids and are kickin ass. Are the different today? Sure. But the generation before my time said the same thing.
Hats off to her surgeon. If “she” has accomplished that much clearly it’s a dude with a world class surgeon…no way a woman could do half that stuff. Make me a sammich!!!
