Local weather just showed a 70% chance of rain Saturday, I have to hope the forecast is as wrong as it usually is!!
Yes, the most famous shit show was in 1995 or 96 with huge flooding issues where it took like 6 days to get the 600 SS race done. And I hope that doesn't happen again
Thanks pal. I've been feeling great since we got the bike figured out Laguna 2019. @khill is right, the Sports Doc he hooked me up with was great. For me, it's all about getting to the track with the right attitude. When you're a one man show, the logistics can be crazy and honestly, after 20+ years, it gets old. Gotta keep that stuff in perspective and remember why you're there. I don't worry about the weather, if it wasn't for the comments here, I wouldn't have even checked it. If it rains, it rains, its the same for everyone....
Morning news has had King of Baggers commercials for the past couple weeks. I don't think I've seen one for the 200. And I'm about 4o min down the road from the track near Orlando Yay for the sport and series but wish the focus was different. I guess this is road racing in the US. Or maybe its just FL on the heals of bike week?
So if it rains will they postpone, cancel, or go on with the race? Thinking about bringing a couple easy ups and make a tent city. Hell Biden may chip in too.
Need a favor if anyone is passing by exit 262 on I-10 headed to Daytona. I need a set of stands taken to the track and given to Melissa Paris. I'm unable to go to Daytona this year and hoping I can catch someone passing by. I thought they were coming by this way and they are not, hence the late request. If anyone is and can stop for 5 minutes, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm 4 minutes from the Loves truck stop at 262 (west of I-10 and I-75) and will meet you there.
That's why the race is scheduled for Saturday. Used to be on Sunday until too many weather issues from what I remember.
What time on Saturday is the race supposed to start? Hourly forecast says no rain after 2pm that afternoon but 50-80% all morning and until 1pm.
