OK, I'm trying to find out who in your opinion is the best race engine builder around? I have a friend thats looking to build an 07/08 GSXR 1000 race engine. He actually wanted to buy a GSXR 1000 from a superbike team but I know theres none around yet. So lets hear whos the best....
Id check with Carpenter Race engines first. He offers a CNC port package that works really well. KWS is another one Id consider as well. Lees on that list but not as a first choice unless he is riding the bike...lol
Carpenter builds great motors too bad he can't tune one! doesn't make sense to spend that kind of loot and you have to go else where to tune it. He does a few pulls and hands it back to ya! 2 passes at the drag stip and then POP! Call him up and he say's oh you over revved it! Stand behind your work to an extent please.
KWS is selling Ben Thompson's two gsxr1000's on the board for a stealand maybe a lesson from Ben. Can't beat that. They were Ben's back ups, so few laps. Best way to go!
+1 Lees has built 3 motors that I have ridden and several that I work on, never had issues KWS also builds good stuff
Paul, KWS bikes are superstock bikes. My friend needs a superbike motor. I spoke with Chip yesterday and he said it would be another 6000.00 approximate to turn the superstock motor to superbike.
Rubin Frankenfield,he's in indianapolis. builds some top notch stuff and it wont cost you a fortune. my 600 is pumpin out some serious ponies. the man is damn good.
