If you're gonna do it, do it right. AFAIC, this whole "Patina" shit is just so people can justify not doing or paying for paint and body. It looks like shit currently.
I saw a 59 El Camino for sale on Facebook a couple days ago, mostly redone with a newer Chevy v8, but can’t find it now when I went and looked for you. I always liked 59 Chevy’s the best, even more than the 55-57’s.
Okay, I was seriously beginning to wonder if it was just my own bias against old junk. I swear I was like "is no one else here looking at the same picture I'm looking at?"
I will admit that I have seen a few that looked kinda cool, but most of the time I think it’s because people don’t want to spend what it costs to PROPERLY repaint a project. I get it - it’s cubic dollars, but I think most look like what they are, and old car in dire need of a proper paint job. BUT - to each their own. I like 1G SVs and most give me four kinds of hell because “carbs blow”.
Nah dude, I was right there with you. This whole thread has me confused as fuck. I keep thinking “Ok, what am I missing here…”
Always wanted a 59! I need to finish the 3 project vehicles I have in my shop now lol 55 Nomad 63 Divco 70 C10 short bed
No, no, not the same. I can appreciate some old stuff. But it has to have been good when it was new. Your issues are totally different.
