I guess Toprak learned new tricks at Cadwell Park a few weeks ago. https://twitter.com/WorldSBK/status/1578456091503255552
This. I think some of it could be Attack doing engine development in-house vs. going against factory / OEM engine development programs, but I could be talking about my butt. They'll get faster and excited to see where they end up by the end of the weekend.
The test was not optimum for tires because of the wind, heat, and dirty track. And FYI Jake has a good feel for Pirellis. The Buttonwillow thing was more of a work thru the different fuel and ECU settings to get a baseline. Shipping issues were their holdup today
Garret lucky in superpole in 7th with others losing best lap and Jake puts in a good effort to start 16th during superpole. Go get em boys!
AB19 coming from so far back should make things a little more interesting. Stoprack's pace has been stellar then Rea came out of nowhere. Looking forward to some bar banging action here in a little while!
What happened? Q results showed Gerlof was listed as qualified 7th. Bautista and Bassani got their laps back to move ahead of him. So now he’s 11th!
I guess Redding and Rinaldi got laps back too. But no mention of it. 3 ducatis moved up! WTF. Looks like someone got paid off with free wine and cheese!
The commentators said the laps were given back because the yellow flag isn't visible to riders in the area that it happened. I didn't see it, but that seem a little strange.
Just as JB just posted, no pay off, just 8-9 riders went to race direction after their laps were taken away due to a mysterious and invisible "yellow flag" that they proved no one could see. Once reviewed, they won their protest / review and times reinstated.
Wonder how Jake and Stanboli will handle finishing 3rd from last. Some of you guys were way optimistic with your predictions.
What difference does it make? Topak passed Rea on the straight. Pass where you can. It's racing.....But to answer your question, AB passed Bassani in the corner.
