    Says WORLD Class racetrack.

    Is this legit?

Will this be a Real racetrack, or a Trackday track? Is WERA & CCS planning on holding events here?????

    MotoGP/etc?

    ThankYou

Ozarks? Dog patch USA Racetrack, perhaps? For the record, I have great childhood memories of the Ozarks as a kid.

I can't tell where this is supposed to be. There's an existing Ozark Raceway Park, south east of Rogersville, MO, but it's a drag strip only. An actual location would help. I think their logo might be a track map. It'll be a bizarre looking track, if so.

I am hoping to get down there and see the sections that are left. Last I looked on Google earth, the front straight is houses now.

Nuclear weapons were tested in Missouri, so this looks like a good possibility.

I saw my first roadrace (WERA) in late 1985, Gateway Raceway (Ill/STL-MO border).
I think MAR's last moto Roadrace was in 1984.....and then everyone went to the new Gateway in 1985.

There was a AMA national at Gateway back in 95 or 96 that we did tire service at. It was the hottest and most humid race event that I ever attended 105 f and 99% humidity. The best part was smelling the garbage dump across the road for 3 days

And are the MCRA still racing at Gateway, I was there back in 2012?

Yep and that's the track with grass growing out of the cracks on the front straight?

The last race there, turn 3 had a cone in a big pothole so you could avoid it. Only about the top 6 inches of the cone was above the pavement level.

Not this year, due to to COVID, but, yes they have. As I understand it, the "new" track ownership did something to the road course layout that made the MCRA call off the last event they were able to run there. I didn't hear the exact issue.
My father raced there a few times from '79 to '83. Called it the worlds longest paved motocross track. Kind of a compliment coming from a long term durt rider like him. He enjoyed everything but the front straight. Way too long for the bikes he race, lol
