Bringing this thread up to speed... I thought it was an awesome movie. probably the best Bond movie I have seen in a while.
Robert, in all due respect to you, you're a bit off the mark here; after living in Japan for over three years, and getting to know some Japanese very well, let me assure you that most Japanese would rather have more of a sense of personal (individual) privacy and freedom and a lot less conformity and shame. There's a price they pay for those 'virtues' you admire; Western on the outside, but Eastern on the inside. What a problem!
I have to admit....I was wrong I thought the movie was pretty good and actually thought Daniel Craig did a pretty damn decent job.
A girlfriend I went out with for four years lives in Osaka. There are definitely aspects of Japanese society that are incredibly screwed up, but there are positive ones also. Like what I mentioned. It's not as if we've got it solved in the West!!
Cripes! I didn't realise for while that this was a year old thread! The Dungeon can be a loop of ever returning subject...
The Japenese low homicide rate has nothing to do with guns, which is the whole point. Having guns probably wouldnt change their or anyones homicide rate in a negative way. Simply put, they have less criminal activity. But in any society with more crime, decent people having guns WILL lower those rates. In America, we have a right to bear arms. I`d say we are luckey!
Franchise killer. RIP https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/20...e-an-unattractive-black-female/#post-comments
TBH, I don't think I've ever seen a 007 film in a theater. Won't see this one either, but that has nothing to do with casting decisions. More like the franchise has pretty much sucked since the 80s.
It'll be Bond Boyz now. With man buns and everything. Which brings up an interesting concept : can black dudes sport a manbun? I don't think I've ever seen this.
This is all about woke and the benjamins. I haven't watched a Bond movie in a looooooong time. I probably won't watch the one they are planning, not because of the gender issue, but because I lost interest in the series.
The last two have sucked and now the shark has been jumped. Hollywood (and the British version of it) has ceased being about entertaining and is now in the preaching business.
I can't remember the last time I gave a shit about a Bond movie or went to see one. Still don't and won't.
