And it just dawned on me, this is the 6th copy I've bought over the past 30 years. This album literally changed my life back in 1986. I was normal before this.....
After hearing Orion, my 8 year old son was transfixed. I game him my well-worn CD that was in an old box..........he probably plays that album 3 or 4 times in his room every afternoon. *tear*
Well looks like on iTunes the entire CD would $9.99. $5 and rip it to MP3s is cheaper. Disclaimer: This assumes Metalhead knows how to do this.
He's bought multiples over the years.... I have CD's from the 80's too, they're already converted to mp3 and on the computer and don't need replacing
I only don't buy them because I can't find the damn things any place. and from the title of the thread and who posted it I thought the scarecrow finally got a brain and it was only a fiver.
I like holding my music. I like looking at the worn out discs trying to remember where scratches and marked up covers came from. Lots of memories in my music. I like holding them.
You have to look at who posted, your original response did make a lot of sense for normal people - $5 vs $10 is usually a very good thing
I've got the first three on cd. Also Justice. In fact Justice was the first cd I ever bought. Jr high I think?
