Came across a '09 C63 AMG at Carmax with 43k miles for $35k. A little high on price, but I can get a Maxcare warranty out to 100k miles and still keep it in budget.
And then add dealer processing, freight, and 4.15% sales tax. Also, 314 < 400. And what happens to the warranty with that chip in there?
I've been doing my own maintenance on an Italian performance car for 3 years now. What's another 4 cylinders?
you talking at the wheels or at the crank? I think that it at the wheels, which is AWD and therefore more parasitic loss. So at the crank, you're close. Usually you just add tax to that number..so looks like you have about $1000 left in your pocket after the chip
Ferrari v8 is problem free and bullet proof. Cam belts every 15k miles will cost about 3500. Requires engine removal. Clutches last forever and can be done with basic hand tools in a couple hours.
Dude, go buy a brand new GTI with the sports package and enjoy it. You're talking about cars that'll cost you 4 months payments when something goes wrong.
It's an Abarth 500. The "performance" comment was a bit tongue-in-cheek, but to be fair, there are significant differences between the Abarth and the garden-variety 500s. I want something big and fast while I can afford it and enjoy it. Also, the GTI isn't anywhere near a big enough step up from the Abarth - it's still a hopped-up econobox.
Haha. The Bacon is now a year old and has almost 10k miles on it. It is basically a wore out POS now, so it might be time for something new.
What about that post was hard to take seriously? The engine, transmission, turbo, half-shafts, exhaust system, suspension, brakes, and steering rack are all different. It's also longer and lower.
