xr1200 opinions?

Saw a sweet looking xr1200 at bike week this weekend with vance and hines race kit, digital dash. Looked pretty nice, first harley I have ever thought about owning.

Anyone here rode one on the street or track. Have an opinion.
Is it basically an sv650 that weighs 600 lbs and costs twice as much?

I like the concept of the bike and its retro styling, the steaming pile of shit they use for a engine ruins it though. JMO

If it had a nice smooth inline four with around thirty more horsepower, more cornering clearance and branded as something beside HD I'd be all in. Of course then it would be very similar to my ZRX.

 

Cool but hard parts are going to drag....Aftermarket rear sets ect or not...

 

Does it come with the leather vest or do you have to buy that separately?

 

Me likey, orange ones are coolest.

Just not sure if I could own one of "those" bikes....

 

The old potato potato engine is one of the things I dig about it. Lol

 

All HD's come with a broken heart "Mom" tat for your arm.

BTW, Dave, you should come out some time and see my HD. I can put you in one of the saddle bags and take you for a ride.

Yeah, I have the limited 4 spark plug Fatboy.

 

3 2009 models, new, $9k in Fayetteville NC.
