I honestly don't care too much who wins, but I want someone to really give Rea a fight and try to make this championship interesting.
Not bad GG. P5 in the first session at another track he is learning. Less than a second back from Rea and just a few tenths from Top Yamaha Toprak.
Garrett first in all four sections of Donnington. Got up to pace quite quickly. Jumping back on the R1 after a weekend on the M1 seemed seamless for him.
I’d rather see GG stay in WSBK. Finally learning bike, tires, and will have hit most of the tracks by years end. If he moves, it’s another season of learning a new bike, different tires, and a few new tracks. And what bike would he even be on at Petronas?
Maybe. But, you go when you can nowadays. Plus, he’ll be 26 next month. With the youth movement happening in MotoGP, you can’t wait or a teenager will take the seat.
If simply going to MotoGP is the goal, then yes. Is riding an older bike of questionable performance, perhaps, and spending another year learning better than being a legitimate threat for a WSBK title next year? If he in fact he has that choice, it’s certainly not a bad position to be in.
I think he should go and I thought the same about Joe Roberts. Too much talent coming from everywhere to be choosey about when and what you ride if you want to be in GP.
