I need a rebuild kit for a caliper I have. They were able to give me the part # by email, but now I have no idea what dealer to order the parts from. There are none on this side of the country - all I'm seeing is MA and FL. Suggestions? the caliper is a square groove C42421 and the kit (O rings only, pistons are NLA) is PN KR0202
They are in Springboro OH. Just South of Dayton Ohio. Check with Mathisas at Spigler his shop is not fair away. I use to live 5 miles from them and picked up stuff in person all the time.
Sure it is... LEMANS CORPORATION PO. Strange, I was getting a different list when I searched before - I got a few dealers listed, in MA and FL, and they weren't WPS/TR (or LeMans, which I didn't know was PU). I'll get in touch with a local shop and see what they can do. I wish the pistons were available too, I might end up having to make them (easier than adapting a new caliper).
Parts Unlimited can get anything their suppliers make if you can get them a part number. It can take a while, dealer has to send a signed fax order to PU, no returns, PU gets it thru their normal channels and sends it to the dealer. 3-4 weeks isn't uncommon.
I know it's been a while, but... finally had the local shop do some poking around (called TR, PU, WPS) and none of them have anything for KR0202 or KR0007. He called, didn't just look in the catalogs. I guess I need to find somewhere overseas.
I think that's the wrong model, but they have the KR0007: https://www.motorrad-ersatzteile24....rmoto-bremszange-alte-version-8x-o-ring?c=369 Thank you. They don't appear to have KR0202 though
I was taking that as a jab that Galfer is a better option than Braking, but they don't make a comparable product (let alone a rebuild kit)
