Where can I find a vintage endurance/Bol d'Or style fairing?

  1. If so, that will be near the top of the list (depending on what else new comes out).

If they were to put out a new 750 based on the 1000 (new motor, smaller, more narrow, lighter, etc), it would probably be a no brainer. They can even make it without the IMU based electronics to keep costs down.

I LOVE a 750, but when I sold my 750 race bike in 2010 I said I wouldn't get another one till they made a new one that excited me.

Because it looks cool as f@ck, dingdong. :D Back before your time Yoshimura built a race bike named Big Papa. They also did a street version for Sportrider (or maybe motorcyclist) and it had one eye. It was porn on two wheels (and usually one).

They also did a series called "the Power of the Poconos." There was a few one eyes in that.

There you go, going all european on him and using a combination of words he doesn't know and probably has no interest in learning. You're mean one, mister grinch.

  6. I know why the light is there, but why couldn't they move it over a couple of inches to make it centered?

Because the street bike it is based on has two headlights and they remove one for endurance racing.

  8. All the money they spend on custom endurance bikes and they can't figure out a way to move the light over 2 inches?

    I'm not buying it.

Well, you're doodoo dunder head with some pretty series issues so it might be good that you don't get it. :D

It's not a money thing; it's not like they were using stock fairings. I think the answer to your question has more to do with the rules and/or marketing. Production-based race bikes needed to be recognizable.

Have you noticed they are even painting fake headlights on superbikes these days? Probably sort of the same idea.

If the bike you k\like is a Walt Seagel, then get Matt Tanner to do one for you. He posts on here sometimes in the vintage section and he does the carbon and glass work for Walt. It may be a proprietary design, though.
