They'll get around it just like Warren Buffet does by only "paying" themselves $100,000 per year, or whatever the limit is, while the rest of the money disappears.

It isn’t an income tax it is a wealth tax. The problem is how do find and value rare coins, art, collector cars, precious metals, gem stones, etc. Then add in off shore accounts, investments, real estate and collections that the US government wouldn’t have any access to. If you think the IRS has trouble tracking income tax cheating, this would be a whole new level.
Make no mistake about it. Any of these Bernie daydreams will be paid for by the middle class. The wealthy will shield themselves or move and the middle will be left paying the freight. On top of that, as the article stated, the money isn't there. It's popular with their rubes to wealth shame the 1%, but the real pile of money lies in the middle, and make no mistake, Bernie wants it. A dirt poor and unarmed populace is Bernie's dream. If you confiscated the entire Forbes 400 net worth, it would run the government at it's current rate for about 9 months and Bernie wants to triple the current spending rate. Ponder that.
