If you ever find any picture of an old kawasaki bighorn racer please post it!! but keep the pictures coming!!
I have a article I saved on the Bighorn racer that appeared in an US magazine back in the day. I know John Long and Yvon Duhamel raced it,not sure about who else may have
Its copyrighted material and besides I'm very bad at this computer stuff and know even if someone told me step by step how to send pictures (have hundreds of 1970 photos I took) to this board I would still mess it up. After my move last year much of my motorcycle articles/books etc are still in one of several dozen boxes.
i remember too.a article, maybe in cycle in the early 70's by KC? this might help w/ the engine. http://www.klemmvintage.com/bighorntech.htm.. clough and crussel have a more rr looking machines.http://vintageracebike.com/race-bike-albums/vintage-kawasaki-race-bikes/kawasaki-bighorn-350-f5-f9-vintage-race-bike/.do i smell a new project???
I've got a bighorn project racer going right now. I'm hoping its track ready by mid July. I have found those pages. I'm planning on talking to klemm a little about his cylinder head but I have motor spec sheet from the old kawasaki race team and I have the specs of the factory speedkit parts for these motors.
what frame are you using to get it started? a little info pleasssssssssse. nothing like derailing your own thread. ill post more pics tonight.
It's a kawasaki S2 frame with S3 front end and swing arm. I'm going to run a cb450 front drum and s3 rear wheel. It should be a fun bike!
