We owe everything to our Veterans! Please, can we begin taking care of them at least as good as our U.S. Senators and Representatives? They sure have served their country in superior ways.
Buncha knuckleheads sitting on the reduction gear in 4MMR of the Kitty Hawk circa 1991. I'm the guy with "INSTITUTIONALIZED" written on the underside of my ball cap brim. One of these days i'ma get my act together and scan some of these pictures.
Yep. As I understand it, BT and MM have merged to become Propulsionman. Not sure if that's the case, but I know there were rumblings of that coming.
Of all the people at my station, I got along with the MM's the best and I was a BM. The BM's were too damn serious, but the MM's were always ready to party
I am still amazed (some/any) of us survived the seventies. Thanks to those that signed on the line, and put it on the line. Made some life long friends.
My dad served 1943-1972. WWII, Korean War, Vietnam x 2. Received Bronze Star With Oak Leaf Cluster during first visit to Vietnam. Apparently while constructing a communications tower, he had to climb the tower to idiot-rig a solution to a problem. All while under enemy gunfire. Pic is from 1944, when he was in France with the 82nd Airborne.
Thanking someone for their service is cheap. Be or become a person that’s worth dying for. That’s the thank you. Happy Vets Day.
Well, Dad was A Korean Era, Air Force MP (Mum was RAF at the same time). Here is one of him in an Honor Guard for Gen. Curtis Lamay , Upper Heyford AFB, England. Thanks Mom and Dad!!!
Indeed it is. I hope I have done so for my father, my father-in-law, and my husband. Wishing you well @BHP41 on this day.
Watching Band of Brothers, thinking if my grand father in WWII. That was tough times, Siegfried Line, Dachau, etc. Very good times!
