and i don’t know why the person taking that picture couldn’t step back 3 inches and get the whole bike in the shot
The Paso is often maligned, but I think it’s gorgeous. That is a Tamburini design, and I think you can see the resemblance to the Bimota DB1. this KTM, on the other hand, is abhorrent.
Sometimes the best answer to complaints is to go Full Metalhead and just say “ Shut up” or “Kiss it “ The front end of that KTM reminds me of an orange version of that Spy vs Spy cartoon .. I like it
I had 2 of these and rode the absolute shit out of them for years. It's a fun bike and not too ugly except for this particular colour scheme:
these are the cheapest used 690's because of their looks. two things changed and it's becoming a smoking hot bike.
I’m sure it’s a great bike; I just can’t get past that nose and the exhaust. I had an gen1 620 Duke for a few years in the city and it was awesome. Top box held groceries and a bottle of wine. I’d love a Duke II. Shame the new ones come with dumbed-down suspension. Mine had fully adjustable WP shock and forks iirc.
Pretty much everything designed after 2001...that covers it. Certainly everything 2010 and beyond is a steaming pile of dog squeeze.
As much as I admire the man and his mind, the Britten was an ugly bike. It is amazingly cool, but had a face for radio.
In person, the Brittens are pure art... Almost any Buell or Bimota would get my vote in the ugly contest over a VR1000.
The original Paso made me forget my 750 Interceptor like a fat date. That thing was beauty. I bought one and rode it around skydiving. On the way to races at Laguna Seca, I rolled it into first floor motel rooms so nobody would steal it. It was pure sex in Rosso.
