I frequently tell my eight year old daughter, "Negative, Ghostrider" when she asks for something. She has no idea what it means. I love planting little seeds in her head.
The problem with this is they won't make it with Mel, and nowadays it's a-okay to throw other dudes in these iconic roles like switching Darrin's in 'Bewitched'. But it ain't - there's only one Rockatansky. Remakes suck, and Hollywood lost it's originality a long time ago.
What the heck is the point of doing that?? Duc frame, wheels, bodywork, exhaust. Aprillia motor, swingarm, rotors(?), forks(?). Seems like a lot more work than just going with one or the other. Is it just a rolling dummy?
IIRC they had signed with Ducati to sponsor the movie, but the Duc Streetfighter was not able to do some of the stunts. So they used the aprilia which was closer to dirtbike, than streetbike as compared to the Duc Streetfighter, with duc bodywork on it for the stunt scenes and such Not sure if that is exactly it, but that is what I recall reading about it
Sounds logical, but it looks like a lot more than a bodywork swap to me. There had to be some major fabrication going on if that thing is rideable.
Look close. All it is, is bodywork, and a faux trellis frame around the outside. If you look close you can see the Ape frame painted black behind it.
Stunt bike. Worked better for what they were doing in some shots than the Hyper. Same reason there is a blow up doll on the back not a person. It's a movie - not real life...
