I know it's going to be cold next weekend. I currently have medium b-stone slicks. What do you recommend for tires? Dot? Soft slick? What would be the best just starting out? I do have tire warmers. I am riding a 955i triumph. :wow:

The real problem on a cold track/cold day is that the tires lose heat faster than they generate heat.

I ran rim-mounted tire pressure/temperature sensors for a full season. Riding on a cold day (45F) was pretty scary, because the tire internal temperature never got up to the minimum design temperature for the tires. When it was over 50F, the tires would build heat slowly and stabilize at a low, but in range, temp.
