Garth was talking about at what "level" they competed at in response to a Robby-Bobby post. And for a while....Yosh was on another planet in AMA SBK.
True. But that was them compared to the competition in that paddock at that point. Can't compare them to Graves now other than the domination of the other teams in the paddock during their respective eras. That's why there is no such thing as a GOAT. It'll always have to be the GOTT.
Simplify it even more for you. For AMA you just say The Mladin. and motogp, it's The Rossi. Rossi is the GOAT!!! If there was such a thing.
So you basically rate them the same as I do yet you argue with an opinion I have that is based on that rating. As usual you're arguing just for the sake of it.
rfka, is so fucking bull headed, that I have figuerd out we are argueing with a women....... He cant see the forrest, due to the trees..
I will not speculate or comment on Josh Herrin in this reply. I will comment in general. These professionals are not typically going to bash or comment negatively about present or past sponsors/owners/managers/issues in general. They do not want to be "black balled". Good professionals make the best of their current situation and move on when the opportunity presents itself. The guys/girls that piss and moan publicly are not sought after as much. It will change your perspective to "be behind the curtain"... This is a business and the product is the rider/bike/sponsor/team/etc... It is not good business to publicly bash a current or past sponsor/team/etc... There are some ambassadors in our sport and Josh Hayes is one of them. I take time to tell him that at least once per year. Josh Herrin is an awesome young man that is a great rider with a bright future. I am proud of him. Here is me leading Josh Hayes at Tally in 2003. He passed me in the next turn...
Sean, don't ever try to teach high school or you will be talking to Evelyn through glass the rest of your life.
I find it hilarious that Zarco thought that Marc VDS would be worse off than Caterham. I would rather be employed by a top of the line motorcycle racing team than a backmarker car racing team in their first year of motorcycle racing. Forgive me if I'm wrong but is Caterham using a brand new chassis as well? I love the early 2000's Attack paint jobs.
My opinion is Herrin just wasn't a good fit for Moto2... IMO he would have faired much better in MotoGP, He is a very tallented rider but IMO wasn't the best choice for the Moto2 class. It is a shame....
Nope Dave. Cal Rayborn was the AMA roadrace GOAT! His ride at Laguna was the most awesome display I have ever seen. Still the one memory of racing by anyone that is truly unforgettable to me. Of course this was 1970? I believe so not many of you young whipper-snappers were around. If he hadn't died prematurely testing that Suzuki he would have been world champ many, many times.
Well he did spend the last 2 years getting used to a 200+ HP point and shoot SBK only to jump back down to a 125hp 600
Who??? Cal was Cal Jr. (II); the son was actually Cal III even tho most call him jr. I don't have a clue where he is today. He was a damn good roadracer himself back in the late 80s I believe. The Laguna race was 1972.
