Sounds like some sort of pseudo-intellectual BS that's trying to gloss over yet another dumb-ass move sure to stir Jesse and Al into action. You'd think that after seeing what Don Imus and scores of others going all the way back to Earl Butz and beyond have gone through, that these idtios would think twice before coming out with inflammatory crap like this. Nothing further to discuss, throw the dummy to the lions.
Actually, I think the explanation is exactly on point. We've probably all heard the "if you think its racist, you're a racist" dodge. Crying "political correctness" is just an another excuse for pandering to bigots. It's like calling the curtailment of civil liberties "The Patriot Act." These are all the same tactic.
