The bike I bought has a Pit Bull damper on it, which covers the top triple nut. I don't know how I missed it, but the top triple nut is missing! I've raced it like this for 3 weekends at least. Because of the Pit Bull damper, will the stock top triple nut work? I believe it's an acorn style nut. Does anyone have one they can sell me or send me in the right direction? Thanks!
There was a thread about this in the general section if I remember correctly. Your options were to use a gsxr top nut or punch the thin cover off the stock sv nut since that will interfere with the pit bull damper.
Just tighten the upper triple bolts a few extra Nm, the forks will hold it in place! I have a GSXR nut sitting around - PM me your address, and I'll send it to you.
