I think they can be replaced or withdrawn though. Sort of like how I would expect to see the R9 in Supersport next year instead of the R6. Either way, not a lot of folks still running the older SVs anyways.
That sounds pretty much like the current Hooligan's class. At least they named it "twins" and not "lightweight twins", because these bikes are no longer light weight and are getting very close to SS times at tracks that reward torque out of the slow corners more than high-speed on the straights.
