Team Hammer will have one and rumor is that Rocco with be on a Vance & Hines build GSX-8 along side the bagger.

Are there any restrictions on it with it having a larger displacement than the other bikes?

 

Every bike in the Twins Cup has some sort of restrictions. For example RS660 was limited to OEM cams at first but then allowed to use them last year to help balance against the R7.

GSX-8 will be no different and will have some sort of balancing rules like the other bikes in the class. The GSX-8 is on the heavy side so that will already help balance the extra displacement.

Karns Performance will have my GSX-8R sometime next month so hopefully WERA finds a spot for it in LWT class.
CCS has changed the Lightweight Superbike class to allow the GSX-8 CC limit is now up to 780cc.

Hey @regularguy , do you think they will remove the homologation for older gen SVs now (or next year)? Surely they would not remove 3rd gen homologation would they?

 

Unfortunately this is not a Suzuki joke anymore. It relates to all the big 4 Japanese manufactures.
