    Ok....

We need a motorcycle that we can haul on the front of the RV. When we pull a trailer I want to have something to go get some groceries or dinner, etc. Want to put a receiver on the front an haul a midsize dual-purpose type bike.

Prefer something I can buy used which can...

Accommodate two riders and still go fast enough to not get run over.
Small enough to load up on the rack fairly easily.
Not super tall....at 5'-6" I'm the tall one in the family
Able to traverse improved dirt roads (not singletrack..just gravel/dirt)
Possibly toss a set of panniers on it.

I am not brand loyal. Ideas and suggestions?

Have you looked at the TW200? Not the sexiest of bikes, but should get the job done for what you are looking to do.

Small enough to fit on the front of your RV
Powerful enough to not be run over
    Short to the ground
    No problem's with trails
Cycleracks makes luggage racks front and rear

They cruise 55-60 with no problem, but should be 65-70 in top.

My first thought too, but maybe not fast enough (55?) WR250R or X would be fun but tall and not too passenger friendly. KLX250 or CRF250L???

Pretty much anything can handle "improved dirt roads".

indeed. i picked up a zuma 125 four stroke as a pit bike. love this thing. fun, easy to get around on, big wide comfy seat. fast.

I though this was gonna be a real "what enduro race dirt bike should i get" thread :)

crf250L would be perfect. Or a WR250. New WR isn't street legal though.

The Honder, two up, would be a way-over-loaded dog. By itself it's OK but I run it WOT about all the time...well, not really but you know what I mean.

any 250 dual purpose or sport would probably work alright for that. an old XR250L would be nice. a TW200? LOL!
