Nope. I will just vote "present" on this thread. My desire to see an old guy beat up on kids and still be a front runner at 40 years of age outweighs my desire to make fun of his fans. I have nothing but admiration for his ability to still be competing at the level he is.
I do love when people say Rossi has been washed up for years since his last title was 09 therefore he cant be the GOAT... However they will point out that MM has had the most difficult/talented field ever to compete against since 2013 when he arrived.
well maybe, but Rossi in his championship years won by at least one or two races. IIRC, his points lead was at least 20+ points over 2nd place. Maybe he made it seem like they were easy/everyone else less inferior because he was that much better than the rest.
2001 - Wins by 106 points 2002 - Wins by 140 points 2003 - Wins by 80 points 2004 - Wins by 47 points 2005 - Wins by 147 points 2008 - Wins by 93 points 2009 - Wins by 45 points From 2006 until now, his win percentage tanked compared to 2001 to 2005. 2001-2005 (5 Seasons) = 51 wins or 63% 2006 - present (13 Seasons) = 36 wins 16% There is zero doubt he was the best rider in the field by a long shot from 2001-2006.
It's amusing that you think that will help... it'll just give you another class to get beat up in. Not (just) a dig on you, those guys are not fucking around. Come out on a 300 or LW twin.
So the field of talent applies to Rossi but not to Doohan. Got it. LOL. Meanwhile Pedrosa has three Championships while NH only has one. Good Lord, how the deluded are deluded.
At this point I think everyone in Sr has by now has figured they aren't going to win a contract in MotoGP, and will side on less risk than have to win THIS corner, and leave the orange shirt enough room that everyone goes to work the next day. LW Twin will be my jam. Unfortunately, I'm a Kawi fanboi, so N650 is my knife in the gun fight
I assure you the red mist knows no age limit. There is no LW Senior class, so it's a non issue anyway.
Kimi giving props to Rossi https://www.gptours.com/mobile_news.php?command=show&what=news&id=22132 "I do not feel old, in fact on a mental level I feel younger than before," he said. "I think when you look at Valentino (Rossi), he also seems to enjoy what he does at 40. We will continue to do our best and fight against the younger guys," Raikkonen said.
