shorter dogbones on a sv??

    ok look.... I'm a big boy 230lb, with leathers
    I need to get my ass up (the bikes)
    I've got a 190lb spring on a penske
    but... I think I could use less rake, but dont want to drop
    the forks sooooo ....shorter dogbones???
    is this a direction I want to go???

    No way to adjust the fixed ride height with the Penske?

    Changing the dogbone will have a different suspension effect than current because you'll be changing the moment arm that your spring is setup for.

    Besides...............it's hard enough to keep the rear end down normally. And you want to raise it up?

    Lower the front........be careful parts will drag before long.

    ..........you ex-vintage primadonna! Just put some gas in it am go racing.

    You may want to check with Max and see what he says. I've heard the idea mentioned before, but IMO, you're opening up a whole 'nother can of worms.

    No. The shorter dogbone is a marginally acceptable band-aid to allow a slower, lighter rider (i.e. a 150 lb. prov-nov) to get away with using the stock shock. What you need, since you already have a Penske, is the right spring, pre-load and shock length. Messing with the dogbone length will just complicate your life.
