Shane finished really well on Sunday. Didn't see Saturdays race. Does anyone know who he was riding for?
He had some help Hey guys, Just wanted to give the props where they were due in Shane's return to racing (thank G-d)!! Making it possible for Shane to get back to racing was friend Chris Gallup, Donnell's Honda/Suzuki, Dunlop Tires, Arai Helmets, Nutec, Penske Shocks, Traxxion Dynamics, Sprocket Specialists, RS-Taichi and a wife who begged him to start racing again for the sake of his and her happiness. I've never seen him smile as much in the last year and a half as I did after he raced last weekend. Shane qualified 36th in Superbike after missing the first ten minutes of the session because he lost second gear in his motor. At lunch he had to get that motor out and a new one (actually, it was a motor he built for Jamie Thompson and Jamie said if he wanted to pull it out of the bike, he could use it). He wasn't out there to blaze and set the world on fire, just blow the cobwebs off. I'd say for not being on the superbike grid or really racing (at national level) in two years that a 20th and 17th from qualifying 36th were pretty good finishes in superbike.
