Sorry for the outage yesterday. A loader pulled up a large tangle of wires next door and 5 of our 6 pairs are down. We are still limping along so I may try to move the BBS to our other location this morning. Expect more downtime today. Jim

A friend used to carry a small length of fiber optic cable in his jacket pocket at all times. When asked he'd refer to it as his GPS. Pressed for further explanation he'd note that should he become lost he merely had to drop the fiber onto the ground and wait for the inevitable backhoe to come along and sever it, and ask the operator for directions.
I couldn't believe that when I first heard it.....but didn't JU have a picture up on RRW of the hole in the ground or am I imagining things?

Nothing would surprise me Although, if you're dumb enough to get banned from here I'm not sure you'd be able to operate a backhoe.
