I was shocked to see that I average 2 hours and 6 minutes of looking at my phone every day. I didn’t think I was that hooked.

Most of my use is messaging, followed by internet, most of which is here.

2:35 here. I didn't even know it was a thing until my wife set it up for me. Most of mine is reading articles and messaging with a lot of weather checking.

 

Around 2:30 here.

I deleted FB a couple of weeks ago and plan to do Instagram next.
Every time I looked at FB I was getting pissed/ upset, no redeeming benefits at all, just trapped in the click loop.

 

8:04, mostly from looking at big bewbies when stuck in traffic and texting while driving.

 

Mine is about 9 a day mainly from conf calls on Skype, Waze, etc.

wife and i have a deal to not pick up phones after 8:00PM - works most of the time... but then, netflix is probably running.

 

4.5 hours, but the screen tends to stay on when streaming music and I use it a lot for work.

 

so when is that truce over? 8:01PM?

This week I'm at 1 hour. Normally it's about an hour 20 min. I have no idea how people look at their phone that much all day

 

Who cares? I think the fuss about handhelds stems from television execs watching their viewership tank. Nobody cared when they had you glued to the tv lol.

 

What are you talking about? There were countless studies and reports about the number of hours kids/teens wasted in front of the TV. That would come up on the news every few months, it seems.
