I been thinking, in the old days most of ours saints and prophets claimed to see or hear God (e.g. Moses and a talking burning bush, Saint Theresa seeing the Virgin Mary, etc).

If someone makes those claims today, they get searched for a crack pipe, locked up in a psych ward and pumped full of drugs to stop the hallucinations.

If I showed up at the track, claimed I was the messiah, and fed the entire paddock with one can of sardines and three packs of Twinkees... would I get canonized, crucified or arrested?

I asked that same question of the Jehovah's Witnesses that would always come to the house.

    They stopped coming. :D

    it depends.............

It depends on who you talked to in the paddock as to what would happen.........As for me, I like Tony's idea of a steak and some money..........

I'd be happy with a hamburger (or maybe cheeseburger) and some tire certificates. :D
