Hi , quick question. Can the rotor and stator windings be removed and left out when running a total loss battery ignition on a points fired bike ? I can't find an old post on setting up the rd ignition but it seems like I remember reading to leave the rotor out , helps free up some rpm, I'm aware of much better options out there but current situation is I've spent thousands on our ice oval snowmobiles only to watch the entire season get canceled, money is gone and what I can afford I'd rather put into tires and suspension lol, thanks guys, Paul 75 rd 350

You might want to ask this over in the Vintage section as well.
