You guys are forgetting a great movie called FLED... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116320/ Not a racing movie at all, but it has two Ducati's being chased by a Lincoln Town Car. Great stuff!!!
My favorite, a documentary about the 1973 F1 season: "The Quick and the Dead" aka "One by One" (1975) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071942/ Google "the quick and the dead" "formula 1" for some clips. My gripe is with the interview with Jackie Stewart while driving around Nurburgring, and the camera spends more time on Jackie than on the track features he is talking about.
I keep going back to The Great Outdoors series of films. The first couple were the first real up close slow mo pix of dirty bike racing that really kicked ass and the music was fabulous going along so well with the slow wrenching of handlebars and feet flying in the turns. The slow rise of the start gate coming up with dirt trickling out, then BAM Waaaaaaaaaa! Robbies Renard's Dad telling him "well, you really blew the start again and you just went rah, rah, rah thru the whoops like a girl"! Friggin EPIC stuff....gonna have to go home today and watch one again... har, har, har, har har, har...braap!
My all time favorite movie growing up....!!! This is what made dream and wish for a Dirt Bike Winners Take All...
